What you may not share
Our checks look for exactly this list, and a human will act on it when the checks miss something.

- Malware or exploit delivery.
- Spam or deceptive redirects.
- Harassment or threats.
- Sexual content involving minors. We report it to NCMEC.
- Content that is illegal to host in the United States.
- Content that infringes copyright or trademark.
- Impersonation of a brand's sign-in page.
Encrypted pages
Encryption is not a loophole: we cannot scan encrypted pages; they are removed on a credible report without review. fmrl.site never holds a key to a private page and cannot recover one; a lost link key or passphrase means a lost page.
How we enforce this
Automatic checks run when you submit a page: known-bad hashes, Safe Browsing on any URLs it contains, a heuristic phishing score, and a model classifier that may run on borderline pages. A page we turn away is never stored — only the scan record described in our privacy policy (hash, size, a 300-character excerpt — none for a private page —, the submitter's network prefix, kept 90 days).
A page we remove later is deleted, and its hash is blocked from being shared again. A page that had been pinned is unpinned and reported to the IPFS bad-bits list, though copies already on the network are beyond our control.
